The NISS PAC recently purchased a new basketball game for students to use in the Multi Purpose Room.

REPORT CARDS/PARENT TEACHER INTERVIEWS – APRIL 30, 2015
Report cards for Semester 2/Term 1 were mailed out on Friday, April 24, 2015.
Parent Teacher interviews will be held on Thursday, April 30th from 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. in the Gym.
We encourage you to meet with your child’s teacher. Appointments are not necessary.
Classes will be dismissed at 1:50 p.m. that day using a Friday schedule rotation (Block 1,2,3,4) from 8:50 a.m. to 1:50 p.m.
Around NISS – April 2015
On April 20, ICBC attended NISS and provided a presentation on ‘Distracted Driving.’ Students tried out the simulator to learn about safe driving.
Students went out into the community on Earth Day (April 22) to clean up and were treated to a BBQ afterward. Great work, students!
NISS Senior Girls Soccer travelled to Campbell River on April 23 for a 2-day tournament. Thanks to Pat McEachern for the photos.
Students are very active in Science around NISS dissecting parts and participating in an egg drop experiment.

First Nations Program Surveys

As part of our commitment to students and the four goals of our second Aboriginal Education Enhancement Agreement (2012-2017), the First Nations Education Council of School District No. 85 has implement an annual survey for all students, parents/guardians, and staff to provide feedback on our programs and services.
Responses are anonymous, and will be used to guide and plan our programs to enhance the educational opportunities for all students.
Surveys can be completed on line and they will be automatically submitted to First Nations Programs when you click ‘submit survey’. Click the link below to start the survey.
