Totem Pole Project

Forty three years ago, students carved a totem pole for the front of their school. Today, North Island Secondary students are planning to have an artist come into the school to help them learn how to carve a new pole.  Please see the links below to learn about our exciting new community project.

Thanks to community help we have learned that Wayne Peterson, Jim Wilson, Ron Tucker, Brad Tucker, Paul Hawryluk, Paul Prestie, Steve Gullstrom, Mike Lyon, Steven Tinkler, and Barry Forsyth from Ms. Marg Furnell’s art class were the NISS alumni that carved our original pole.
